Pay – £13.00 - £22.00 per hour plus mileage
Shift – Nights Only - 10 Hour shift

An amazing opportunity has arisen in Wincanton for carer’s as OneCall24 Healthcare are looking to recruit a team of carer’s to work with an incredible young boy. This role will involves the carer’s to oversee health related issues throughout the day and night , as he requires ongoing tracheostomy care and Gastrostomy care. We are looking for healthcare workers who can deliver person-centered care in line with a personalized care plan, created specifically to meet the needs of our individual client.
You will be fully supported by our highly skilled Nurse Managers, who are on hand to support and guide all of staff, to ensure the highest standards of care and an excellent pathway of professional development.

The Service responds to 999 calls on a Category One to Four basis and employs Paramedics, Community First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Emergency Care Assistants, Ambulance Care Assistants. On the smaller island of Alderney the service is staffed by four Emergency Ambulance Crew, working on a double-crew basis on a four on/four off rota. You wil respond to emergency and non-emergency situations where you will assess and treat patients to your skill level and transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients as required. Patients requiring Hospital care are transferred to the only hospital on the island delivering a range of healthcare services for the 2,300 people of Alderney which is central and no further than 1.5 miles from anywhere on the island. Supported by local GP's, the small but vital hospital has 14 continuing-care beds and 8 general-care beds that are used for mostly general medical and some minor injuries admissions. Acutely-ill, Maternity and Paediatric patients are treated in nearby Guernsey who send a critical care team if neccessary to stabilise and transfer.Alderney is the third largest of the five islands that make up the 'Bailiwick' of Guernsey, not far from the French coast. Purpose of the Role:
To contribute as an effective member of the nursery team, ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), where all children are supported in their learning and development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high standard of care and education, creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for all children
Support children's learning and development through age-appropriate, inclusive activities tailored to individual needs and stages
Maintain awareness of and comply with confidentiality guidelines and data protection legislation
Maintain a professional appearance at all times in accordance with the nursery’s dress code: Play Box uniform (polo shirt/t-shirt and fleece), black practical trousers, and appropriate footwear
Long or pointed nails and high heels are not permitted
Monitor and record children’s progress through learning journeys, observations, and developmental tracking, ensuring documentation is consistently up to date
Foster strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, supporting continuity between home and nursery life
Promote and ensure an inclusive environment that respects and accommodates all children, regardless of ability, background, or medical history
Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery. Responsibilities include supporting children with toileting and nappy changes, in line with established procedures
Assist in daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning equipment and maintaining a tidy, organized learning environment
Accurately complete and maintain records of any accidents or incidents as per nursery policy
Support students on placement, offering guidance, mentorship, and feedback as appropriate
Participate in regular team meetings, termly parent consultations, and continuous professional development activities, including staff training and annual performance reviews
Ensure all policies, procedures, and risk assessments are read, understood, and implemented consistently
Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the

We are seeking a capable and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our client's Hospice/Palliative Care Unit based in Hackney, East London. This role is within easy reach of TfL and National Rail services This is a full-time role, salary (£44,506 - £53,134) or a part-time opportunity of no less than 30 hours per week could be negotiated. Reporting to the Band 7 Senior Occupational Therapist, you will;• Be a core member of a specialist interdisciplinary palliative care team which includes Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy.• Undertake specialised OT assessment and treatment of palliative care patients as an autonomous practitioner with support available from other therapists for patients with complex needs.• Provide OT input to patients in the inpatient, respite and Day Hospice setting, providing specialist functional assessment in relation to patients being discharged home.• To provide clinical specialist advise and clinical supervision within the service and to OT students on field work placement and rehab assistant as required.• Contribute to, and take a leadership role in, projects, groups and teaching initiatives as a source of OT expertise and advice.The Hospice comprises an Inpatient Unit (two 17 bed wards including respite beds), Community Palliative Care, Day services and various therapies including a volunteer led Empowered living team helping patients self manage their condition and maintain independence.
