? Legal secretarial experience would be preferred.
? Skilled in Microsoft Office.
? Ability to type accurately from dictation.
? Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
? Professional telephone manner and positive attitude.

As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of reception and administration at Chingford Medical Practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Using EMIS Web (the practice's clinical system) to record, update and retrieve patient information accurately
Carrying out general GP reception duties, including greeting patients, answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
Booking, amending and managing GP and nurse appointments, tasks and diary dates
Processing patient referrals to other services and healthcare providers
Maintaining accurate insurance records and completing related paperwork and reports
Preparing reports and documentation for the practice management team
Supporting general administrative tasks across the practice
Liaising with GPs, nurses, patients and external organisations to ensure information is shared accurately and on time
Learning how the practice operates and developing your administration, communication and organisation skills
Working as part of the reception and administration team to help ensure the practice runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally
Training:
You will attend college as part of your apprenticeship training (Waltham Forest College)
1 day per week at college
On-site college-based training

Training will support the apprentice in building the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
Training Outcome:On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent Business Administrator or Medical Receptionist role at Chingford Medical Practice, depending on business needs and performance.
