Maintenance Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Maintenance Supervisor has the direct responsibility for leadership of the maintenance department as well as maintaining and upgrading the site facilities and production equipment. In addition, this position is responsible for the management of the Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and direct maintenance projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration and implementation of technical activities. Support the HS&E, Quality and Service, and Productivity/Cost sections of the facility plan as defined by scorecard activities. Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. Manage the Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Program to ensure it reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery. Develop KPI's to track Maintenance performance. Support capital project requirements for review and submission to management including costs, schedule, and procedures. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with Management of Change (MOC) procedures. Analyze annual utility expenditures and develop plan to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity in hiring and promotion decisions. Effectively and efficiently onboard new employees. Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback, maintaining clear and timely documentation. Coach and manage employees using CS&W philosophy and tools to ensure talent is developed and retained. Apply Tremco policies and adheres to processes to ensure compliance and organizational best practices. Run Tier 1 and attend Tier 2 meetings with relevant Maintenance updates and actions. EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Various trade certifications i.e. electrical, pipefitter, etc. preferred. EXPERIENCE: Four to seven years related experience and/or training A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with plant safety practices, chemical processes, equipment maintenance, statistical applications, and equipment operations are also required. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment repairs. PLC experience is a plus. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Indicate if required or preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Load Trucks Unload Raw Material and supplies from trucks and railcars. Transport all inventory. Stage freight to be loaded. Stretch wrap all pallets and move all pallets to the warehouse area. Place all finished goods in inventory. Assist in physical inventory count. Organize warehouse and inventory. Cleans inventory area. Transports totes to work areas as needed. Reviews and runs transactions in SAP daily to review customer orders. Ensures Shipping and Receiving transactions in SAP are conducted in a timely and accurate manner by monitoring transactions in SAP. Ensure products are shipped per DOT regulatory requirements, including Bill of Ladings and product container labeling. Works with Logistic Production Planners & Schedulers regarding finished goods shipments. Monitors status of customer orders to ensure on time delivery is met. Communicate with customer service representatives regarding order delivery status. Assists in tracking inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Works with the production department to achieve optimal plant layout to improve workflows for production, shipping and receiving activities. Adhere to all quality, safety, security, health and environmental regulations and requirements. Update computer inventory system. Verify products are stored in the correct space. Visually checks the appearance of and condition of products prior to shipping. Loading of delivery trucks based on shipping orders. Certifying that all regulations regarding the loading and transport of chemical products are always followed. Record and track safety, quality, and productivity in accordance with plant and departmental goals. Performs salvage/recoup activities per standard operating procedures. Ship samples to other facilities when needed. Full understanding of Chemical Hazards specific to area assigned to, including PPE. General forklift duties Completion and compliance of all safety initiatives and certification requirements including all near miss and incident reporting. Assist with physical inventory counts and processes. Compliance with all applicable ISO requirements Working with Supervisor, assist in the management of "Progression" training and certification for all Material Handlers. Able to learn rigging techniques of steel samples for proper storage and handling. Install test samples into large scale furnace following proper safety and laboratory procedures. Perform testing of samples per nationally and internationally recognized test standards. Evaluate results and report them accordingly to Lab Manager or more senior personnel. Remove all test articles from furnace after testing. Keep area clean and organized at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-year college, or minimum 2 years fabrication/welding shop experience. Welding/Fabricating Skills: Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, including but not limited to, cutting and brazing using Oxy-Acetylene torch and plasma cutter. Desired Qualification: Knowledge of welding techniques, including but not limited to, gas metal arc welding (MIG) and shield metal arc welding (Stick). Tungsten inert gas (TIG) not required; however, a plus. Certified Welder certificate not required; however, a plus Proof of welding skills will be required as a pre-requisite for position consideration. Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 100 pounds; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, Silicates, and certain inorganic compounds. Personal protective equipment will be utilized as required by internal lab procedures. Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA. Sales Representative - Northeast

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary Carboline is looking to fill an open Territory Sales Representative within their Northeast Region seeking candidates located near Boston, Philadelphia, DC or the Metro New York areas focusing heavily on Carboline's Flooring Market. This position will be responsible for both selling and generating new business with already established customers while also developing new prospects to grow volume, revenue and increase the profitability of this territory. We are seeking individuals with a hunters mentality and prior experience working in the paint and coatings industry. This position will report into the Northeast Region Director of Sales. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's in Business or a Technical degree or equivalent experience 4+ years sales and or business development experience, preferably in the protective coatings industry Preferred Requirements Previous industrial sales experience within the coatings industry is preferred. NACE certifications are a plus! Physical Requirements This position requires minimal physical activity. May require lifting up to 50lbs on occasion. May require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day. Occasional exposure to various chemicals. May require travel by car up to 50%, including nighttime. Essential Functions Responsible for calling on new and existing customers to build sales volume, to remain abreast of customer requirements and to assess market trends. Calls on customers and prospective customers to inform them of products, new releases, services available, supply, etc. Provides technical assistance when necessary. Responsible for securing and renewing orders; works with customer services and sales management to provide servicing levels required by the customer. Builds and maintains a sales program within the territory based on strategic planning including prospecting, new business development, levels of available business and level of repeat business. Works effectively with all company personnel and resources to provide full customer service and assure continuing customer satisfaction. Applies good judgment and prompt follow through on customer complaints, returns, claims or other problems on products / services provided. Gathers and reports significant developments within accounts, prospects competitors and the general market for use by company management in research, analysis and planning purposes. Provides annual sales detailing target markets and accounts. May act as a Field Technical Service Engineer as requested. Committed to the Company's safety and quality programs.
