Carry out performance tests, troubleshoot and root cause analysis
Work with engine automation and mechanical systems providing support to Customers within guidelines set out by the company
Implement tasks as part of the maintenance of engines
On-site customer operational support in all stages if a project

The role
As a Senior Marine Operations Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of marine surveys to include Metocean field engineering activities. The engineer will be the lead person managing the deployment and recovery of Metocean equipment, both moorings and subsea components while also acting as the offshore client liaison.
The role of a Senior Marine Operations Engineer is varied and offers the opportunity to work on projects for offshore wind farms, renewable energy, and oil & gas. This position will suit experienced an aspiring party chief from a similar background, geophysical or seismic surveys who is looking for a more varied career. The projects range from one or two days to longer trips of up to four weeks with the potential to work all over the world. Our engineers are involved in a mixture of offshore and coastal vessels, drilling platforms and onshore installations. As no two projects are the same, you will need to be resourceful and flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Additionally, you will also be asked to add your experience to project planning. This role can be based out of our Wallingford, Oxfordshire office and Portchester, Hampshire office. Employer Description:Brightlingsea Harbour is a small mixed leisure and commercial port with a rich heritage at the mouth of the river Colne between the City of Colchester and Clacton on Sea.
The Harbour Master leads a dedicated team of permanent and seasonal staff who oversee the day to day activities within the Harbour. The Harbour manages 500 residential leisure moorings for yachts and power boats as well as commercial activities, for example cargo ships and wind farm vessels.
The Harbour operates various ferry trips between April and September. A daily foot ferry service between Brightlingsea, East Mersea and Point Clear, Harbour Tours and a Pub Lunch River Cruise. Throughout this period the office is extremely busy and acts as a Tourist Board giving advice to holiday makers, advising on ferry trips, local attractions and welcoming visiting sailors.
Every year we expect to welcome approximately 2200 visiting yachts, hundreds of power boaters, other watercraft users, dinghy sailors, racers, and now paddle boards and Kayaks. During the summer months the Harbour can be very busy, so requires some careful management.

As an Electrician, you will be based in our workshop in Falmouth and your main responsibilities will be to assist our team with the construction, commissioning, inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment within the company. This includes but is not limited to, Marine installations, Low voltage distribution systems, safety systems and control systems.
The Electrician role is primarily located in the Falmouth based workshop but there are opportunities when required to travel to support our operations around the world. If travelling to sites or vessels, you will work closely with the vessel crews and fall under the Deck Supervisors and/or Bargemaster.
