The Kettle Operator is responsible for processing Tremco Sealants and/or Roofing products by carefully reading and following the process order card. The operator is responsible for area readiness to produce which includes safety and collection and preparation of materials like pails, drums, and other chemical raw materials. One batch is complete the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specification is met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment. Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met. Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders. Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions. Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment. Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.

Position Summary:
Dudick, a brand of Carboline is seeking Production Operator in Streetsboro, OH. We are seeking individuals to help to ensure the quality of our products, safety of the facility and coordination of all plant operations in order to help Carboline reach the best possible performance targets.
Job Duties:
Stack finished goods correctly and quickly to keep up with the production line. Operates the bagging machine, controller, and line conveyors and understands their designs. Participate in the Quality Process by monitoring bag weights, stacking and labeling bags correctly. Part of this process includes verifying that each bag is filled properly and is the correct weight and taking samples as needed for material testing. Dump raw material into a mixer as needed. Takes samples of material for testing. Operate the bagging machine, controller and line conveyors, and understand their design. Maintain a clean work area and assist in the end of shift cleaning. Performs all other duties as assigned by Crew Leader, Supervisor, or Plant Manager.

Required Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent. 1-3 years of industrial experience. Experience with filling and packaging equipment. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures. Ability to do basic math and enter computer data. Ability to coordinate with the work of others and solve problems in a team environment. Active participation in our Continuous Improvement Process. Ability to lift 75 pounds. ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
Run trash compactor in Plant #2 alley. Keep alley clean. Clean tubs in Plant #1, by hand or by tub washer equipment as required. Pick up rags on a daily basis and store them in proper container. Rags are watered down nightly in Plant #1. Load trash truck and sort skids. Clean all Lunch and Locker rooms in the manufacturing area. Keep up to Date inventory of cleaning supplies. Order as needed. Run vacuum hoses in Plant #2 in designated areas. Do whatever cleaning inside or outside that is required. Maintain a clean work area. Safely operate all equipment associated with a given process. Use prescribed safety equipment, when performing duties. Communicate any variations/problems to appropriate Management Personnel.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent. Have the ability to read, write, and speak English and to understand simple math. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must pass lift truck operator's test.
