Learning to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams and assembly instructions
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment safely and accurately
Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and fault-finding on mechanical equipment
Supporting the instillation and commissioning of machinery at customer sites where required
Ensure all work complied with health and safety regulations and company quality standards
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Work closely with skilled fitters, fabricators and engineers to complete projects on time
Record work completed and contribute to continuous improvement activities
Training:
This is a Level 3 Fitter apprenticeship, delivered over a 33 month period
The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge WS9 8UG, 2.5 days a week for the first 20 months. Please ensure you are able to travel to this address as well as to the company address
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available within the business

Basic Package of the Mechanical Pump Technician:
Starting Salary: Up to £42,588.00 (£21.00 per hour) depending on experience
Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
Annual Bonus up to £1,700.00 per annum – subject to company performance
