DAP is looking to hire Process Engineer for our Baltimore Plant.
Responsibilities
Provide process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production, and packaging functions to improve safety, and support the MS 168 continuous improvement process.
Production Support
Support daily production needs through process troubleshooting, experimentation and support for production requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, increase material utilization, improve first time right, integrate new products/processes into production and reduce variation. Implement necessary changes and update all documentation (including drawings and SOP's) accordingly
Capital Plan
Coordinates with plant engineer to oversee capital projects necessary for the continued improvement and modernization of the plant. Ensure completion of projects within budgets.
Safety
Responsible for achieving and maintaining safety goals relative to the maintenance and engineering functions. Responsible for safety devices, safe design, etc. of all equipment. Administer process hazard analyses (PHA's) for identified materials, processes, and RHP Compliance
MS 168
Support the tier meeting process by the implementation and analysis of data collection and visual management systems.
Environmental Program reporting
Support the site's environmental program by assisting with reporting, compliance monitoring, and QA results in support of process engineering improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering 0 - 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment. Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience. Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process. Ability to read and interpret process drawings (process flow diagrams and P&ID's). PLC with ladder logic analysis. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. PC usage with MS Office Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus), strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills both written and verbal.

To act as Supervisor and monitor the technical control of construction of works and supporting the Project Manager and/or Project Manager’s Representative on and under any Contract(s). The role
Our Metocean Measurements team based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire is now seeking an Instrumentation Engineer. The team specialise in monitoring, measuring and providing advice on nearshore, shallow water physical oceanography, predominantly for coastal infrastructure projects and offshore renewables in Europe and Africa. As an Instrumentation Engineer you will be responsible for the maintenance, testing and preparation of Metocean equipment and the building of systems. You will work to strict Health and Safety standard’s and you will be required to write technical documentation and reports and adhere to company procedures. On a daily basis you will collaborate closely with your team members, Project Managers and Oceanographers. You will have the opportunity to work on the latest oceanographic equipment, involved in industry leading projects in a hands-on environment, where you will have to think on your feet and adapt to changing project needs.
Who we’re looking for:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Oceanography, Science, Instrumentation, Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent.
Previous experience, ideally in the marine industry;
Able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with offshore, onshore and Client personnel;
Experience in oil and gas, ocean science, renewables and/or survey industries.

Overview:

Carboline is looking to hire a Field Technical Service Engineer to cover various parts of our Gulf Region seeking candidates located near New Orleans or Baton Rouge. This position will be responsible for traveling to job sites providing guidance and technical support on startups, problems encountered on the job, and coatings inspections on various Carboline products. This individual will assist with routine in-house work such as product evaluations, equipment maintenance and panel preparations. This is a very hands on role requiring frequent travel and heavy interaction with customers, applicators and the Carboline sales team. When not traveling in the field, this position will work out of their home office providing technical support through phone calls and email. This individual will need to be very familiar with linings, coatings and fireproofing products with prior experience working in the industrial coatings industry. Individuals with NACE certifications are highly preferred.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years Technical Service experience within the Industrial Coatings and or Fireproofing Industries

Valid Passport; NACE Level 1, NACE Level 2 or NACE Level 3 (SSPC or AMPP)
Physical Requirements

Starting position in Field Service, will handle routine field jobs within capabilities. Travel approximately 50% of the time. Contact customers / salesmen to gather pertinent data prior to field trips. Demonstrate proper use of mixing equipment, airless and conventional spray equipment, etc., to apply Carboline or SPC products in the assigned divisions. Interpret surface preparation standards per specifications. Demonstrate use and techniques involved with inspections equipment. Train supervisors, inspectors, and painters in the above technical areas. Assist in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations. Carry out procedures as defined in the Technical Service Procedures Manual. Perform assigned routine office duties as required for department function. The role
As a Senior Oceanographic Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of marine surveys to include Metocean field engineering activities, contributing to high HSE standards, maintenance, testing and preparation of Metocean equipment, deployment and recovery of Metocean equipment and offshore client liaison. The role of a Senior Oceanographic Engineer is varied and offers the opportunity to work on projects for offshore wind farms, renewable energy, and oil & gas. This position will suit experienced Senior Oceanographic Engineers looking for a more varied career. The projects range from one or two days to longer trips of up to four weeks with the potential to work all over the world. Our engineers are involved in a mixture of offshore and coastal vessels, drilling platforms and onshore installations. 4 years Chemistry, Engineering degree or equivalent experience, minimum 3 years' experience. Formal training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules. Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.
Essential Functions:
Experience in identification and implementation of process optimization solutions. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies and ability to teach and model them. Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes. Ability to influence, mentor, and coach to get results through others. Collaborates with operations manager and/or plant engineering on modification of equipment and processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency and quality. Works together with R&D, engineering, and plant resources to develop and implement continuous improvement projects. Monitors and collaborates with R&D where necessary to modify production processes for existing products to improve consistency, quality, and reduce cost. Collaborates with R&D on process development - Including reviewing and approving proposed manufacturing procedures for new products. Monitors plant operating metrics to identify and implement corrective actions that positively impact cost, quality, and cycle time problem areas. Provides technical support and consultation to the Quality Control department. Specifically, regarding recovery plans for off-specification, obsolete, and problem finished goods. Monitors the consistency of production using SQC, SPC, or other appropriate techniques. Strong communicator with top-notch presentation skills who can develop and provide training to production personnel on matters concerning formulation, materials handling, processing, and quality procedures. Committed to the Company's safety and quality programs. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Leadership role in effort to recertify and reclaim Non-Conforming material. Works in coordination with QC and R&D to isolate, test and recertify Non-Conforming material that can be repackaged and sold. Perform additional duties as assigned. Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
