Im currently representing a fantastic Manchester based firm who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MOJ/OIC fee earner to join the team on a permanent basis.
You will be experienced in handling RTA matters across both platforms (OIC/MOJ Portal) from inception to completion to include submission of CNFs, reviewing medical evidence and negotiating settlement. Proclaim use advantageous.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload at all stages of the MOJ & OIC Portal
Preparing cases for submission to the Portal.
Updating clients.
Be able to assess quantum.
Understand and meet targets.
Understand and comply with the Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions.
Be able to identify issues in advance of Litigation.
Must be a strong communicator.

Must be proficient in using the MOJ and OIC Portal
Credit hire knowledge is preferable.
Be able to use your own initiative to find solutions to problems.
Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise and manage a varied caseload.

Our client is seeking a Credit Hire File Handler to join their dedicated team focusing on investigating complex credit hire claims from both tactical and strategic perspectives. This role is based in their Bolton office and is an excellent opportunity to develop your credit hire experience, with the potential to progress to roles within litigated fast-track, fraud or multi-track work.
The role:
Handle complex and technical investigations on claims, valued at up to £25,000.
Assist in reducing overall costs for insurer clients while gaining valuable experience in pre-proceedings credit hire matters.
Manage your own caseload while adhering to established processes and strategies.
Engage in effective telephone negotiations and decision-making under pressure.
Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders.
Build and refine technical knowledge, including litigation preparation, common law principles and cost management strategies.
Essential skills and qualifications:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent; a degree or LPC qualification is preferred.
Proven experience handling credit hire files, ideally with at least 12 months relevant experience.
Excellent communication, negotiation and IT skills.
Strong organizational abilities with the initiative to plan and prioritise workloads.
Ability to remain calm, make informed decisions and handle sensitive situations tactfully.

The UK’s data protection and cyber security landscape continues to change and grow and as a result our client requires an additional Solicitor to join their team. Our client would ideally like someone with current experience in cyber security and data protection law, but they appreciate these individuals are not easy to find. They would also be willing to consider candidates from a regulatory background who have transferable skills and experience. For instance, those who have experience in dealing with regulators and representing individuals or organisations in regulatory matters.
In addition to the regulatory element of this role, our client requires someone with excellent litigation experience who will be able to competently handle cyber crime claims and investigate the loss and determine whether to pay loss as well as running liability claims.
