Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete online daily checklist activities
Providing 1st/2nd line technical support & problem analysis/rectification
Ensure documentation and procedures are maintained and improved in accordance with ISMS and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
Ensuring pro-active monitoring of systems using key performance indicators and dashboards
Ensuring performance and availability of all computer systems including hardware, networks, IT security and telecommunications are maintained within the agreed SLAs
Monitor Ivanti call logging system and resolve production tickets within agreed SLA
Maintain Computer systems to current corporate standards Windows 11 / Server 2022
Scorecard compliance activities including system patching, antivirus and CM
Purchasing for all IT operations service requirements
Configuring all onsite hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, thin clients, industrial PCs
Deploying hardware into production environment to agreed schedules within maintenance windows
Processing New user equipment requests / processing Leaver data and equipment requests
Monitoring customer EDM and sequences messages
Maintaining in-house LJS application to create models to support manufacturing requirements
Maintenance and upkeep of networking infrastructure, ensuring stability of LAN/WAN by proactive monitoring and resolving issues, to include Cisco switch configuration, fault finding and hardware upgrades
Monitoring Avamar backup jobs
Virtual Server monitoring and preventative maintenance to ensure 100% uptime
Production server SQL mirroring for disaster recovery and performance monitoring
Ensuring all corporate requirements are delivered satisfactorily and on time
Disaster recovery corporate compliance and fail over testing practices
Software license, inventory and hardware maintenance management
General administration and housekeeping of hot swap equipment and materials in the Operations stock room
Training:Firebrand’s sector-leading Level 4 Network Engineer (L4NE) Apprenticeship Programme develops apprentices to design, build, maintain and secure multi-vendor networks; additionally, apprentices will develop skills to allow identification and implementation of network performance improvements whilst maintaining network security.
Firebrands course is delivered either Online (online live instructor led), or face to face in the classroom environment (your choice). Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Learning Mentors (LMs) and world-leading trainers prepare apprentices to work across multiple sectors.
