Project Manager

We are looking for a permanent Project Manager with a construction or retail fit out project management background, for a permanent field based role with occasional visits to the office in north Manchester.

The role is to manage the construction of new leisure facilities, alongside refurbishment and acquisition projects.

Salary of £40-50,000 per annum depending on experience plus bonus, car allowance, 22 days holiday plus annual 1 day increase, laptop, mobile phone and pension.

Working as the successful Project Manager, your experience will cover:
*Project Management experience to include the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects keeping them on budget, delivering them on time and maintaining high standards.
*Construction &/or Retail Fit Out experience including a sound knowledge and experience of processes, managing projects and managing projects with strict budgets.
*Excellent communication & influencing skills: You will have the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and across departments.
*This role is field-based and you will be prepared to travel.

Extensive travel and periods of time away from home may be required
*IT literacy and technically competent various software programmes is highly desirable.
*Numerate and strong attention to detail.
*You will be educated to University degree level or possess a college diploma in Project Management or equivalent experience.
*Self-motivated, team player.
*Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
*Flexibility to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
*Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
*Full Driving License essential.
*IOSH/NEBOSH Qualification desirable.

Responsibilities will include:
*Reporting to the Estates Director and Senior PM, you will manage the end to end project cycle of new builds, extensions and re-fits, from initial planning to delivery of programmes.
*Development and monitoring of budgets for each project.
*Liaise with designated Group Health and Safety specialists to ensure best practice is adhered to.
*Work closely and support the wider project team to deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations where appropriate.
*Strive for excellence in all processes within the project & design team, continually reviewing and improving.
*Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plans as required.
*Motivate and liaise with project team members and contractors encouraging them to take positive action and assume accountability for their assigned work.
