Nurse Seekers is proud to be recruiting a Qualified Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a private Nursery based near Wednesbury, West Midlands. The successful candidate must provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery

Requirements

Cache/NVQ Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Early years or equivalentExcellent spoken and written EnglishPassion, creativity, joy, flexibility, reliability, commitment and good communication skillsBe able to work full-time hours

Key Responsibilities

To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children for parentsOperate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staffWork with parents of children with special needs to give full integration in the nurserySupport all staff and engage in a good staff teaTo be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetingsTo be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etcOperate the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the bedding and nappy changing area and food surface areasWork alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilledRecording accidents in the accident book. Ensure the Manager has initialled the report before the parent receives itTo develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key workerBaby Room experience is essential
