Locum Optometrist – Dry Eye Clinic (Stratford-upon-Avon)

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon, West Midlands
Role Type: Regular Locum Optometrist (1–2 days per week)
Days: Wednesdays (fixed), with optional Monday and Saturday mornings
Rate: Up to £350/day

The Opportunity

Zest Optical are working with a high-end independent practice in Stratford-upon-Avon to recruit a Regular Locum Optometrist. The practice has built an excellent reputation locally for specialist services, including advanced dry eye management, and offers well-structured clinics designed to give patients exceptional care.

The Role

Lead and deliver the practice’s established dry eye clinics First consultation and treatment booked at 90 minutes to ensure thorough assessment and personalised care Ongoing review and management using a tailored treatment plan for each patient Use of the latest equipment, with regular investment in technology Relaxed, patient-focused testing – appointments up to 60 minutes – Regular tests alongside the dry eye clinics Regular Wednesday clinic, with the option to add Monday and Saturday morning sessions Typical working hours 9am–5pm Day rate up to £350

Bespoke, independent Opticians with a loyal patient base Highly regarded locally for specialist dry eye services and contact lens work Small, supportive team of 5 with very low staff turnover Single testing room practice Trial frames and phoropter, OCT and Optomap, Optix system Continuous investment in staff development and equipment

Requirements

GOC-registered Optometrist with 3+ years’ experience Passion for dry eye management and continuity of care Strong balance of clinical and commercial skills Willing to be hands-on and support the wider team Excellent communication, patient-first approach
