Apprentice Toolmaker

Daily Tasks:

Assist in setting up and operating manual and CNC machines, measure and inspect components using precision tools (micrometres, verniers, gauges) Clean and maintain tools, equipment and work areas Follow technical drawings and specifications under supervision  Support repairs and adjustments to tooling, jigs and fixtures

Weekly tasks:

Participate in scheduled maintenance of workshop machinery Assist in assembling and testing new tooling projects Practice and develop skills in CAD/CAM and machining processes

Training:
This is a Level 3 Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship, delivered over a 37-month period The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2 and a half days per week for the first 14-months

Monday - Thursday, 7.00am - 4.00pm
