3.5 Tonne Driver / Warehouse

As Warehouse / Driver you will be joining a busy team, delivering goods to customers and assist in ensuring the smooth running of their warehouse in Witney.

This role is working for a respected employer on a full time, permanent basis where a proactive “can do” attitude and strong customer service are vital.


You will be responsible for:

Providing excellent customer service
Loading the vehicle so products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage
Ensuring the load is correct against the customers’ orders
Ensuring on arrival, the delivery is safe to make and respect customers’ property; if in doubt, consult with customer and/or Warehouse Manager
Checking goods off with Customers and obtaining signature and print
Handling customer issues on delivery effectively and avoid getting over-involved in discussion
Carrying out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner
Driving the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law
Looking after the vehicle and ensuring it is not subjected to any unnecessary damage
Maintaining the cleanliness of the driving cab
Complying with fuel directives from the Operations Department
Completing vehicle daily inspection sheet and give to Warehouse Manager
Being aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT and bring to the Operations Department and Warehouse Manager’s attention if necessary
Attending essential training in order to carry out the driver role
Loading the vehicle so products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage
Ensuring the load is correct against the customers’ orders
Checking goods off with customers and obtain signature and print.



Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Full UK driving licence is essential
Experience of multi-drop deliveries beneficial
Warehouse experience preferred
Committed to delivering the best possible customer service

Hours: 7.30am – 5.00pm (Monday to Friday) 8.00am-12noon (alternate Saturdays).

The salary for this role is up to c£25,000 including company bonus, and dependent on experience.
