Rate: £240 umbrella a day
Bristol City Council are looking for a School Improvement Officer to join their team. As a School Improvement Officer you will:
Support the effective delivery of the Local Authority’s duty in relation to provision in LA maintained schools by working with headteachers, principals, and leadership teams Contribute to the co-ordination of sector-led and school-to-school support in school improvement work and to the strategic development and evaluation of LA school improvement strategies, focusing on city-wide priorities Evaluate the quality and impact of the LA’s duty Work closely with the LA Early Years Improvement Officer, Early Years Teaching School and lead teachers in providing support to schools and education Identify and promote good practice and provision so that, where necessary, improvements are accelerated, secured in schools across the school system in both the primary and secondary sectorsRequirements
Degree and qualified teacher status Successful senior leadership experience at primary phase or in a Local Authority at school improvement level Up-to-date knowledge of recent national developments in school legislation and the implications of these for school improvement and school effectiveness Qualified and/or experienced Ofsted inspector
