Apprentice Carpenter
The role will encompass carpentry and general building work including:
Working accurately from detailed specifications and drawings Measuring and setting out work areas Preparing materials Basic carpentry tasks under supervision to include measuring and cutting of wood, installation of door and window frames, installation of doors, architraves and mouldings, ironmongery. Preparation and fitting of wall and floor units Erecting inclined roofs with gables and joists Introductory use of power tools under supervision Labouring duties and ad hoc duties as requiredApprentices should be reliable and motivated to work within the construction industry. You should possess effective communication skills and be able to take instructions.
Good timekeeping is essential as construction workers are on site early in the morning.
