Metal Fabrication Apprentice

Over the 3.5 years, the apprentice will gain a strong foundation in metal manufacturing through hands-on training in CNC laser/punch, folding, welding, and quality assurance.

In the first year, they will focus on core skills, including:

Tool handling Machine operation Basic welding

The second year will build on this with more advanced techniques , culminating in cross-departmental experience:

Part fabrication Quality inspection

Throughout, the apprentice will develop technical skills, safety awareness, and professional work habits, preparing them for potential permanent roles within the company.



Training:

You will attend training at Leicester College Abbey Park Campus one day per week. You will complete a Metal Fabricator advanced apprenticeship at level 3. You will aslo complete Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).



Training Outcome:

Deeper progression into preferred role / further opportunities within different aspects of the business.

Working Hours :
Mon – Thur 07:30am – 04:45pm Fri 07:30am – 12:30pm.
