Lay bricks, blocks, and stone to build or repair walls, chimneys, and other structures Mix and apply mortar Interpret construction drawings and plans Work safely on construction sites Produce high-quality finishes using traditional and modern techniques

Training:

Workplace: With employers in and around Plymouth
Training: Delivered at our Plympton, Plymouth training centre
(Attendance is required for 2 days every 2 weeks – employer transport support may be available.)

Next Steps: Qualified Bricklayer (Skilled Operative) Work independently on residential, commercial, or heritage sites
Specialise in areas like: Facework (decorative brickwork) Blockwork (internal walls) Heritage restoration Refractory brickwork (for industrial settings)
