Craft Engineering Apprentice - Toolmaker
Your duties will include:
Operating manual and CNC machinery (lathes, grinders, milling machines). Performing precision measurements using micrometers, gauges, and CMMs. Conducting tooling diagnostics, and repairs. Implementig modifications and improvements to tooling. Maintaining and cleaning tooling and moulding equipment. Fabricating fixtures and spare parts. Maintaining tooling standards and documentation. Performing preventive maintenance on tools and shop machinery. Completing tool reports and managing spare parts inventory. Ensuring tooling meets required specifications and quality standards.Training:
EAL L3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge). Apprentices will attend college for two days per week over two years.
This may be revised in Year 2. Training, assessments and observations will also be completed in the workplace.
