Software Developer Apprentice

Develops creation of effective test cases and test data. Analyse user stories, use cases and requirements for validity and feasibility. Review and analyse system specifications and carry out testing as per the defined procedures. Evaluate product code according to specifications. Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures - Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing - execute all levels of testing (system, integration, and regression). Help troubleshoot issues, design, develop and maintain automation scripts when needed. Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies. Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results. Create logs to document testing phases and defects - report bugs and errors to development teams - ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle - apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
