Apprentice LGV Mechanic
Ensure adherance to mandatory college attendance and completion of college syllabus
To plan and organise jobs effectively
To follow work instructions from the Senior Mechanic and as directed carry out repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and associated plant and equiptment
To maintain and complete daily documents, job tickets, inspection sheets, test reports and daily time sheets
Operate all existing and future associated garage equiptment including but not limited to brake testers, exhaust gas analysis, diesel smoke testing, headlight alignment and vehicle lifts
Training:
Block release to SMB Group - Stephenson Campus
On the job training
Off the job training
Training Outcome:
To attain a Driving Licence with Categories, B , C over the period of the apprenticeship, as well as a towing licence
This could lead to full time employment at the end of the apprenticeship

South Derbyshire Wast and Transport team are looking to appoint a full time motivated vehicle mechanic apprentice to join our small team maintaining and repairing the Councils fleet of vehicles.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm.
