Engineering Fitter Apprentice

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Supporting colleagues with product machining, and assembly and testing. Work enthusiastically to accept the necessary training required in all areas. Producing components using a range of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines and grinding. All manual machines. To gain familiarity with the range of company products and processes. To work safely at all times, following all company safety rules and maintaining a tidy work area. The wearing of appropriate PPE at all times is essential.

On qualifying, the position will include servicing and repairing clients’ equipment, from heavy plant machinery to other general mechanical work. Working on-site and on occasion, as required, off-site at customer premises, located worldwide.



Training:

Training will be on-site at Rochdale Training one day per week, for the duration of your Apprenticeship.



Training Outcome:

Candidates who show the right attitudes and behaviours will be supported to progress and study to NVQ L4 or higher.

KME are based in Littleborough, Lancashire. KME Ltd have been producing large scale machinery for the waste and recycling sector and specialist systems for agricultural clients for over 40 years. KME Ltd provide machinery worldwide and are a fast-paced family-run business with over 40 employees.

Working Hours :
Full-time, 39 hours per week with overtime available but not guaranteed. Mon - Thurs 7:15am - 4:15pm & Fri 7:15am – 12:15pm. 45-minute break.
