Job Summary

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team at a warm and welcoming Residential home in Redditch. This full-time role is perfect for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and has the confidence to lead by example.

You’ll be working day shifts, providing hands-on care and supporting the daily running of the home while leading a team of care assistants. If you're passionate about caring for others and have experience administering medication and overseeing care plans, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering high standards of personal and emotional care to residentsSupporting residents with daily activities and promoting independenceAdministering medication in line with policies and proceduresLeading and supporting care staff during shiftsCompleting accurate care records and documentationCommunicating effectively with residents, families, and colleaguesSupporting the Nurse or Home Manager with care planning and daily operationsEnsuring a safe, clean, and dignified environment for all residents

Requirements

Essential:

Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader in a residential or nursing homeConfident and experienced in medication handling and administrationStrong communication and leadership skillsA genuine passion for delivering person-centred careAbility to work effectively as part of a teamReliable, responsible, and calm under pressure

Desirable:

NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)Knowledge of CQC standards and care planning
