Apprentice Calibration Engineer

After an initial period covering the essentials of calibration and working safety and effectively in a laboratory environment you’ll quickly be introduced to real world calibration in an accredited environment.

On a day to day basis an apprentice in our pressure laboratory would be learning how to calibration and certify a multitude of different pressure measuring devices.

E.g. Pressure Gauges, Barometers, Vacuum Gauges, Pressure Calibrators, Manometers, Dead Weight Testers, Relief Valves.



Training:

On the job training (normally 4 days per week) will be provided at Lambda’s laboratory in Chorley, Lancashire.

The apprentice will also attend Wigan & Leigh College on a day release basis (normally one day per week) and this will lead to a BTEC qualification.



Training Outcome:

The apprenticeship leads to Skilled Calibration Engineer.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 7.45am to 4.15pm (including a 30-min lunch break)
