Apprentice CNC Machinist

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup and operation of CNC milling, turning machines Learn to interpret technical drawings, CAD, and work orders Measure and inspect finished products using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) Monitor machining operations and make basic adjustments as needed Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work area Shadow experienced machinists and participate in training sessions Document work performed and maintained accurate records Support continuous improvement initiatives in the machine shop

Training:
4 days per week on-the-job at Aluminium Special Products Limited 1 day per week off-the-job training at Sandwell College Engineering Centre, West Bromwich

Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a full-time permanent position within the company, with opportunities for further development and progression

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 4.30pm. Friday, 7.30am - 1.30pm.
