Apprentice Bricklayer
Attending morning briefings at the site to ensure works can be undertaken safely
Undertaking duties such as mixing, moving materials, assisting the experienced team with building works
Being set individual tasks on topics related to your apprenticeship including setting out, calculations, line and level, specifications along with practical activities within building
Taking progress photos of the works and utilising our project management software REFLOW to record daily operations
Being part of a team to complete plant and vehicle checks
Understanding the key principles of H&S including, RAMS, COSHH, construction phase plans, lift plans, permit to works, H&S inspections, pedestrian and traffic management etc.
Liaising with your site manager
Completing timesheets for your hours
Training:
The successful apprentice will undertake a level 2 (Bricklayer) building NVQ which will include full-time working within the specified hours related to age.
The training will be completed on a 1-day per week release to Yeovil College predicted to be on a Friday, with on-the-job training provided as well as formal external training provided by our sister company Crestmoor Training.
Training Outcome:
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship the successful candidate will have various paths they could take within the industry, including more complex building courses, setting out and engineering through to management positions.

We work alongside large tier 1 contractors along with domestic Clients.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday - 07.00 - 16.00 dependent on site and location.
