Engineering Operative Apprenticeship

Training is provided to assist in your progression and development. You will initially be working with an experienced fitter/vulcaniser  in order to gain the required skills. We have successfully taken on five apprentices through similar schemes at our other business in the midlands.

Working in the workshop initially with our workshop supervisor.

In order to gain some skills, familiarity with equipment and to undertake the H&S courses needed for site work.

Working at Heights Manuel Handling C.C.N.S.G Quarry Passport Plus – In-house risk assessments covering all equipment.

Long term:

Fork lift licence Abrasive wheels First aid Ipaf Rigging & Slinging Supervisor CCNSG

After this you will start to attend site with a leading supervisor, undertaking the necessary site inductions and point of work risk assessments.

Training:
Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification In College one day a week over the full period of the apprenticeship The final year will involve completion of a portfolio and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA). This measures the skills, knowledge and behaviours outlined in the standard and is carried out by ESFA approved organisations independent from the college Apprentices without Level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this prior to taking the End Point Assessment

Proven record on 24hr site belt supply & vulcanising. Over 35 years industrial experience. Supply, fitting and vulcanising service covering the northern and central regions. Established distributor network giver greater geographical coverage. PVC / PU & Rubber belts manufactured, supplied & fitted onsite. Work undertaken for OEM to small end-users.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm. Weekend work available - Plus overtime (Only those aged 18+ can work more than 40 hours per week).
