Apprentice Hairdresser

Your responsibilities will include preparing the salon for the day by setting up workstations, organising colour and perm trolleys, and ensuring all tools and products are ready for use. You’ll assist with hair services such as shampooing, conditioning, and applying treatments under supervision, and once competent and insured, you may also support stylists with blow-drying. You’ll be involved in reception duties, including greeting clients, answering calls, rebooking appointments, and handling payments, all while delivering excellent customer service—offering refreshments, taking coats, and gowning clients for their treatments. Throughout the day, you’ll support stylists by passing tools and products as needed, helping maintain a smooth workflow. Maintaining salon cleanliness is also part of your role, including dusting retail displays, mopping floors, and completing end-of-day cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both clients and staff.

Training for a Hairdressing Professional Apprenticeship provided by Milton Keynes College.

Working Hours :
Monday is college, a day off in the week and one late evening a week (11am-6pm) and Saturday (8:30am - 5pm).
