Equine Groom Apprenticeship - Eventing

General duties will include:

Mucking out Grooming Turning out and bringing in Feeding Maintaining the yard and fields

As a livery yard you will also be expected to be able to communicate with clients as well as work well in a team with others. There will be opportunities to learn how to break in young horses and to handle young stock. There are plenty of riding opportunities on this friendly family run yard and you will also have the chance to travel to events to groom.



Training:

All training will take place at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and wil be carried out by Haddon Training. 

Equine Groom Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard Functional Skills in English and maths if required 

Training Outcome:

Upon completion, opportunities to progress onto the Level 3 and/or permanent employment may be available.

Indie Vaughan-Jones Eventing runs a small family eventing and livery yard based on the Norfolk Coast that offer a range of services such as breaking, schooling and hunter liveries.
