Early Years Practitioner apprentice
Your duties will include:
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress To help ensure the preschool meets Ofsted requirements at all times To understand and work to preschool policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about preschool and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvementTraining:
Early Years Practitioner Level 2. Training is delivered in the workplace, plus two or three College-based sessions throughout the course. This can be supported by some remote delivery if required.

Glenfall Preschool is a committee run term time only preschool operating from within the grounds of Glenfall Community Primary School. We cater for children between the ages of 2 years and school age. We are small friendly and nurturing. We have a cosy relaxed playroom and a split-level garden containing balance equipment/role play, a mud kitchen a sand pit and water area. We are also able to use some of the school's facilities such as Forest School, field and playground.
Working Hours :
Shift work TBC. Term time only.
