Apprentice Welder/Fabricator

As an engineering operative apprentice you will become part of our team, fabricating and assesmbling drilling tools and equipment and utilising.

Main Duties:

Mig Welding with Mild steel wire. Stainless steel wire and hard-facing wire. Oxy-actelyne cutting equipment. Welding rotator associated hand tools. Familiarisation with associated equipment within the facility

All work is to be carried out following health and safety protocols and adhering to quality standards.



Training:
The learner will be studying the Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Day release to West Suffolk College. Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held. 

 



Training Outcome:

This apprenticeship could lead you to a full-time job within the manufacturing sector, with further opportunities to expand your fabrication skills. Through further studies and testing you could become a coded welder or weld-coordinator or find new and interesting ways in which to use your skill set.

Working Hours :
Monday-Friday 7:30am-17:00pm- Half an hour unpaid lunch break-15 minutes paid break in both the morning and afternoon.
