Estimator & Account Manager

Job Title: Estimator & Account Manager – CNC Machining Location: Portsmouth Salary: Competitive dependent on experience Hours: Mon - Fri Are you experienced in account management or estimating, or are you a skilled machinist ready to advance your career? In this role, you will oversee a substantial portion of the order book, produce precise, high-quality quotes, provide expert machining design guidance, and work closely with clients and internal teams to enhance efficiency and drive success. What you’ll be doing: - Managing approximately 50% of the company’s order book, driving sustained and profitable growth while effectively managing business risk. - Building and nurturing strong partnerships with “A class” customers, proactively onboarding new clients to secure a consistent flow of high-quality work. - Preparing accurate, detailed quotes that encompass all aspects of the manufacturing process including design review, material, tooling, subcontractor costs, program timings, and inspection to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Providing expert machining design advice by reviewing customer drawings and models, collaborating directly with customers to optimize production and quality. - Working closely with the Estimation & Account Management team and wider business to achieve shared goals and KPIs. - Continually improving the team’s operational processes to maximize efficiency, strengthen margins, and enhance throughput. - Embracing and promoting company core values and lean principles to foster a supportive, efficient, and positive workplace culture.
