Business Development Apprentice (Home-based)

Responsibility for responding directly to queries from employees or team leaders on standard processes.  Checking and processing new starters, pay changes, role and line management changes and leavers utilising all self-service tools to ensure all relevant actions are completed in a timely and accurate fashion. Administration of pay and benefits including maternity/paternity/parental leave/adoption pay, pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, sick pay, holiday entitlements and associated pay and benefits calculations. Monitor and report on sickness absence then analyse the data provided and work with the people team to deal with this data.  Undertake Recruitment processing administration as required, utilising the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Networx and supporting the people team using reporting improve the service. Send out the offer packs with the necessary information to provide the right to work/references and DBS/PVG. Undertake onboarding tasks including but not limited to References, Right to Work and DBS/PVG checks processing risk assessments in line with safer recruitment. Assisting with responses to the ticketing system, so queries are categorised, answered accurately and within required timeframe. Filing of relevant information and upkeep of employees e-files, including auditing of employee information. Ensure DBS/PVG are sourced for new starters and renewals for all employees including chasing up as required. Provide weekly reports for recruitment, absence, wellbeing, recruitment, and onboarding highlighting to people managers any issues. Work collaboratively with the human resources team to deal with all aspects of people administration and queries. To assist with projects as required to ensure we meet annual deadlines. Understand the payroll and what reports are available and understand the audit process and look to improve this. Learn how to use the data available from both HR systems and Power BI and how we can improve the metrics.

Training:
One day every two weeks at Telford College. Assessor visits from Telford College. Assigned mentor within the workplace.
