Business Development Manager - Soft Services - Part Time Location: Leigh-On-Sea
Salary: £25-28,000 + Commission + Benefits
Type: Part Time, Permanent - scope to turn into a Full Time placement

About the Role We are working in partnership with a leading facilities management provider, currently seeking a talented and results-driven Business Development Manager - Soft Services to join their expanding commercial team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced business developer with strong knowledge of the soft services market (e.g. cleaning, security, front-of-house, catering, waste) to drive growth across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities;Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across multiple soft service lines
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through research, networking, and targeted outreach
Produce and deliver high-quality proposals, bids, and tender responses
Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term contract growth and client satisfaction
Collaborate closely with operations and mobilisation teams to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support strategic planning
Meet and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs
Candidate Requirements;Proven track record in business development or sales within the soft FM / facilities services industry
Strong understanding of service-based contract sales (especially cleaning, security, catering, etc.)
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Confident managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
Knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes, including tendering
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally/nationally as required
