Horticultural & Landscape Operative Apprentice

Assist with general gardening, nursery work, grass maintenance and hedge cutting. Assist with the garden’s development projects including landscaping. Help with the care and maintenance of machinery and tools Complete appropriate records as required To contribute and promote safeguarding at all times, to ensure the safety and security of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Ensure health and safety policies and regulations for the practical and technical facilities, workshops, machinery and other physical resources are adhered to. Be conversant with and implement the College’s policies and procedures e.g. equal opportunities. To contribute and promote safeguarding at all times, to ensure the safety and security of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Liaise with all college staff to ensure the effective use of resources to achieve its mission, and to ensure the smooth running of the college. Participate in the College Appraisal Scheme. Undertake any college-wide mandatory training or training specific to your role as required. Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required of you.

Training:

You will be studying at Hadlow College one day per week.

Monday to Thursday 08:45 to 17:15 Friday 8:45 to 16:45.
