IT Support Apprentice

We have a wealth of experience and are looking to support and guide an apprentice through their programme to become effective IT Support technician, there is no better place to kick-start your career!
As an IT Apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for provisioning new equipment and working as 1st line Support on the helpdesk to resolve IT queries in line with SLAs. This is a perfect opportunity to develop your IT skills and reach your true potential.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Information Communication Technician Level 3 qualification, delivered by the training team at JBC Skills Training.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Prepare and configure new hardware to be installed at customers sites Provide 1st line helpdesk support to customers Log and respond to tickets on the helpdesk Work towards delivering a high-quality IT support service in line with target SLAs Shadow the rest of team on customers site to gain a broader understanding of other technologiesFull training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the JBC Skills Training. There will also be opportunities to shadow and assist more experienced team members to gain a broad exposure and experience in many other areas of IT including: Cloud Services, IT Security, as well as the installation and configuration of new PC’s, Laptops, Servers, Routers, Firewalls, UPS Systems, Network Switches, Wi-Fi equipment, surveys and deployment, Fibre Optics, Data Cabling, Patching and so much more!
Training:
On completion, the Apprentice will be awarded the Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship You will be appointed a skills trainer who will meet with you remotely every 6-8 weeks for reviews and support with your Summative Portfolio work
Training Outcome:
Ongoing career development and progression opportunities upon completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm.
