Apprentice CNC lathe setter/operator

Read and understand technical drawings. Train with and use measuring equipment to achieve the highest quality components. Learn common machining practices and apply them to achieve drawing requirements. Select and set appropriate tooling to produce a component. Operate and maintain the CNC machinery. Begin to understand G-code programming and its application to produce components to customer drawings.

Training:

Day release will be 1 day a week at Bromsgrove campus.



Training Outcome:

Fully qualified CNC lathe setter/operator with a view to progressing to become a fully qualified CNC lathe programmer/setter.

Future training opportunities include:

Forklift. Machine manufacturer specific programming courses. AutoCAD training.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm. 30 minute unpaid lunch break per day. 10 min morning paid break.
