Early Years Apprentice

This role will require the applicant to have excellent communication and written skills.

Applicants must work well within a team and be a good role model to ensure that the children learn and develop to their full potential.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Apprentice. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Adhere to Nursery guidelines and policies and procedures Have ability to work patiently calmy and effectively as part of a team To follow the safeguarding and child protection procedures to keep all children safe Understand the needs of all our children and respond accordingly Have good communication skills and can follow instructions efficiently Willing to attend courses and workshops Carryout self-reflection and use continuous professional development opportunities to improve practice Undertake specific tasks related to the safety and hygiene of the children and the cleanliness of the setting Use their knowledge of child development to work with parents and carers to improve children outcomes and wellbeing, including those with disabilities and additional needs Contribute to the planning and organise activities and children's individual experiences which will support and extend the children’s learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Communicate and engage with children to support their learning and development Support the collection of accurate and up-to-date records which identify children’s individual needs, abilities and progress and use these as a basis for future planning Support the wellbeing of all children including those with additional needs and disabilities

Training:
Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

Training Outcome:
May lead to permanent position once the apprenticeship has successfully been completed Prospects for progression in the nursery, once experienced and qualification has been gained

Employer Description:
Rascals Day Nursery is a 62 place Early Years provision, we also cater for wraparound care for the local school. We are in a rural location with limited bus services, so the applicant would have to consider their travel arrangements before applying.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, Shifts patterns to be confirmed at interview.
