Apprentice Mechatronics Maintenance Technician

The role will cover all engineering aspects of design, production, manafacturing and servicing of automation systems within the company. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a small team, working alongside experienced staff, gaining valuable skills Providing you successfully complete your apprenticeship, you will become a permanent member of staff in a diverse and interesting career in electrical engineering.

Training:

Apprentices are expected to attend college one day per week (term-time only) at the Ipswich Road campus, located near Norwich city centre.

For the full apprenticeship, candidates will complete:

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) (601/7179/0) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)- Mechatronics Maintenance Technician (603/3845/3) Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) (603/1353/5)

For the End Point Assessment (EPA), apprentices will undertake a viva interview, a portfolio of evidence and a professional competency

Training Outcome:

A position may be available for the right candidate following successful completion of the apprenticeship. The business is looking for somebody who wants to develop and gain a position following their apprenticeship.

DDC can provide a complete system design, with software and support from a simple control box to a complete control system, with site installation and commissioning. Whether you only require design assistance for your own build team or require the complete package, our team at DDC can help. Here at DDC we have engineers available for circuit design, to PLC and HMI software writing. Our workshop facility can build small control panels up to complete control suites.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 Friday 08:30 to 16:00. 1 hour unpaid lunch per day.
