About the Role:
Bedford Girls' School are seeking a practical, reliable and enthusiastic Property Maintenance Apprentice to join their site support team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in building maintenance, facilities, or the wider construction sector.
In this role, you will be supported by the friendly maintenance team & gain valuable hands-on experience whilst working towards a recognised qualification. You will contribute to the smooth and safe running of the school’s excellent facilities and be involved in a wide range of day-to-day tasks including compliance checks, basic repairs, preventative works and general building systems.
This is a fixed-term apprenticeship role, aligned to term-time working with flexibility for structured training and project support during holiday periods. The employment will conclude on 31 August 2027.

Training:
You will gain the following qualifications:
Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)Training Outcome:
Hands-on Experience: Gain practical skills in maintenance, security, health & safety, and site management.
Recognised Qualification in Facilities Services, Property Maintenance, or Site Support.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm. Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour for lunch - unpaid)
