Watersports Instructor Apprenticeship
At The Ahoy Centre you will work towards your Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship over the course of 12-18 Months.
You will be responsible for delivering Sailing, Rowing and Powerboat Training sessions to our beneficiaries on the Tidal River Thames.
You will receive the opportunity to gain a number of RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and BR (British Rowing) qualifications such as the Dingy Instructors, Powerboat Level 2, Safety Boat, First Aid and many more. You will be expected to be a positive role model for those who come through the centre.
To complete your apprenticeship qualification, you will work with a Lifetime Training Coach who will support you through your course work. Around 20% of your time on the apprenticeship will be dedicated to this.
You will be on a Community Activator Coach apprenticeship, which allows you to get a qualification and get paid to do it! Your qualification will be delivered by Lifetime Training, but you will be part of the Coach Core family- giving you access to loads of extra perks, including kit, training from partners such as UK Coaching and the chance to coach at local/regional sporting events.
