Mechanical Maintenance Apprentice
Your duties will include:
Complete and pass all elements of the Apprenticeship programme to expected timeframes To demonstrate safe work behavior, make decisions and take actions in line with established standards, procedures and practices To maintain a safe working environment through the correct application and diligent compliance with Safety, Health and Environment and engineering standards Safe operation of mobile plant and cranes To be responsible for working on and gain an understanding of a wide range of Mechanical and Thermo-Processing equipment Working at height and confined space will also be key tasks within this position Will utilise other skills, competencies and qualifications for the benefit of the businessTraining:
Year 1 of the Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard The learner will attend four days a week within IPS Rochester workshop completing practical skills (Performing Engineering Operations) and one day a week studying the Technical Certificate In Year 2, the Apprentice moves to day-release and will attend IPS one day a week to continue the Technical Certificate Starting in Year 2 and continuing until completion in Year 4 The Apprentice will continue to receive regular training contact with IPS all throughout the programme
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity for position as a Maintenance Craftsman
