Apprentice Painter and Decorator

Assist experienced painters with preparation tasks such as sanding, masking, priming, and surface cleaning. Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, and finishes to various surfaces under supervision. Set up and clean work areas, tools, brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when handling chemicals and working at heights. Learn industry-standard painting techniques, colour matching, and finish applications on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

Training:

One day per week at City Skills College. 

Training Outcome:

Full-time employment.
