Junior Hairdresser Apprentice

Assist stylists with cutting, colouring, and styling hair
Shampoo, condition, and prep clients for treatments Set up stations with tools, products, and towels Clean and tidy the salon (sweeping, sanitizing tools, cleaning workstations) Welcome clients and help them feel comfortable Answer the phone and schedule appointments Help maintain stock (replenish products, keep track of inventory) Learn new techniques through on-the-job training and tutorials Observe and assist with hair treatments (colouring, perms, blow-drying) Participate in training sessions (in-salon or at college) Assist with general admin tasks (client notes, filing)

Training Outcome:

After completing a hairdressing apprenticeship, you can expect to progress into a Junior Stylist role, where you'll take on more independent tasks, including cutting, colouring, and styling hair for clients. As you gain more experience, you may advance to a Senior Stylist position, with increased responsibilities, including mentoring apprentices and managing your own client base. You could also pursue specialized roles, such as Colour Technician or Salon Manager, or even start your own salon. Ongoing training and certification can lead to greater opportunities for growth in the hairdressing industry.
