Finance Apprentice (PIB Insurance)

Support Monthly Financial Reporting

Help the FP&A team prepare simple financial reports and summaries Enter data into spreadsheets and finance systems accurately Check for errors and assist with correcting financial data Learn how to read and understand income statements and basic reports

Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting

Collect and input budget data provided by other teams Help build and update simple budget templates in Excel Learn how forecasts are created and assist with basic updates Compare actual spending against budgets to help track performance

Help with Variance Analysis

Support the team by highlighting differences between budgeted and actual results Assist in creating simple charts or tables to show these variances Learn how to ask relevant questions to understand reasons for differences

Learning Business Operations

Sit in on meetings with finance and other departments to understand how the business works Learn about the role of finance in decision-making Help gather information from departments for finance reports

 Creating Simple Reports & Presentations

Assist with putting together PowerPoint presentations and charts
Format reports and documents for internal use Practice using Excel to create tables, graphs, and summaries

Finance System

Learn how to use basic finance software (e.g., Excel, internal finance systems) Support regular checks to ensure data in systems is correct
Help with updating and maintaining standard finance tools or templates

Get Involved in Team Projects

Take part in small finance projects or process improvements Learn about best practices in financial planning and analysis Work closely with team members to support a wide range of finance tasks

Training:

BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
