Early Years Practitioner Apprentice - level 2 childcare in Birkenhead

Pudsey Day Nursery are looking for a level 2 apprentice to join their team. They aim to be the next best thing when carers and parents can not be around, to ensure that the children are comfortable, cared for and educated to the highest possible standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join this local, friendly nursery.

Some duties and responsibilities include:

Training in all aspects of the E.Y.P Level 2 Feeding Toileting Health and Safety Communicating effectively with Children and Parents Safeguarding Support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities in line with the early years foundation stage Work with parents, colleagues and other agencies to ensure children’s individual needs are met Support the children to understand healthy life choices through engaging play activities

Training:

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Educator Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Training Outcome:

Once qualified to Level 2 candidate can progress onto Level 3.
