Finance Assistant Apprentice

Process purchase invoices and staff expenses, ensuring correct approvals and accurate data entry. Make payments to suppliers, promoters, and staff, and update the accounting system accordingly. Raise and send sales invoices; record customer payments in the accounting system. Ensure all payments and accounting tasks follow financial procedures. Handle internal and external finance queries by phone and email. Assist with monthly reconciliations, including card payments and petty cash; investigate outstanding items. Record Box Office and Front of House income; bank cash and cheque takings Collect and check staff timesheets in line with BECTU terms, ready for payroll processing. Support the Development Team with grant income administration. Carry out other reasonable finance-related duties as needed.

Training:

Delivery model:
• Work-based training with your employer
• Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week)
• Regular meetings with your training coordinator to monitor progress and well-being
• Level 1 Functional Skills in English (7 days at college, if required)
• Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work

Qualifications included:
• Level 1 Functional Skills in English (if required)
• AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting
• Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship

End Point Assessment:
• Knowledge Test - Integrated
• Interview

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm.
