Dependency and Recovery Team Leader

Salary: £30,082.00 - £36,766.00 per year


Service Care Solutions is looking for a D&R Team Leader to work with a social enterprise client committed to empowering people to break the cycle of crime or addiction and move forward with their lives.


What You Will Be Doing:
As a Team Leader in Dependency and Recovery Services, you will work within a hybrid model as part of a flexible, multi-disciplinary team, operating in person and travelling across probation delivery units in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, and the City. Your base will be at the Tower Hamlets and Stoke Newington probation offices. While some work may be virtual, this is predominantly an in-person service where your role is crucial in supporting staff and developing stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing a team of practitioners delivering Dependency and Recovery Services to adult males under probation supervision. Supporting the implementation of action plans and navigating recovery journeys. Building and maintaining positive relationships with probation practitioners and stakeholders. Providing visible team leadership, attending essential meetings, and ensuring smooth project delivery. Allocating referrals, managing complex cases, supporting team development, and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Delivering on performance targets set by Forward Trust and Commissioners. Ensuring data accuracy and timely submission of data. Promoting services across your responsible areas to meet contract volumes. Deputizing for the Service Manager as required. Building strong relationships with Probation Delivery Units, Prisons, Partners, Service Users, Stakeholders, Volunteers, and all parts of Forward Trust.


What We Are Looking For:

Demonstrable experience in team management, performance, and development. Genuine interest and experience in motivating and developing people. Experience in key relationship management both internally and externally. Knowledge and experience of implementing formal procedures and policies. Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills. Strong project and time management skills. Knowledge of the issues facing service users in the criminal justice sector. Experience managing high caseloads, conducting risk/comprehensive assessments, SMART action plans, and maintaining effective case records. A qualification in Management at Level 3/working towards or demonstrable experience in a comparable role.
