Fabrication and Welding Apprentice

As a Welder Fabricator, you will learn, through observation, instruction, practical and day release to college, the skills and experience needed to perform your job efficiently and to the highest standard.

Complying with statutory regulations and safety requirements you will learn how to work efficiently in an engineering environment.

Your roll will include;

Preparing work & the work area safely ready for work Producing a range of welded components using Mig & Tig using manual and automated techniques Rollers and conveyors

Training:

You will be required to attend Advance 2 Campus, Dudley College, 1 day per week, in term time only.

You will recieve the Level 2 Engineering Operative - Fabrication and Welding qualification upon successful completion of your apprenticeship. You may also complete Functional Skills in English and maths if required You will be assigned an assessor who will visit you every 8 weeks in the workplace to support with your apprenticeship.

Training Outcome:

Possibility to move into a full time position within a modern dynamic workforce.
