18+ Leaving Care Personal Advisor - Birmingham 

Are you a passionate, dedicated Personal Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Personal Advisor to join a Leaving Care Team based in Birmingham. 

Umbrella Rate: £18 per hour 

Duration: 2 months initially 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 5.15pm, 36.5 hrs/week

Personal Advisor role: Full JD Available

Direct work with children in care and care leavers age 18-25 years, on a case management basisThis will involve the co-ordination, preparation and completion of pathway plans and supporting young people preparing for leaving independently into adulthoodEnsure that young people have an appropriate plan of service provision designed to meet their individual needs and these plans are drawn up in consultation with those young people, their social workers, carers, parents and staff from relevant agenciesEnsure that the necessary assessment and intervention is completedProvide information and support to young people on an individual or group basis as appropriateKeep in constant contact with the young people, noting process/ concernsRespond to need as it arises, reporting any concerns where necessaryAssist in ensuring that all young people referred to the Service are involved in the assessment of their caseWork alongside appropriate services to identify and meet the needs of young peopleParticipate in the provision of a duty/referral service by the service and to advise young people and their referrers as part of this processMaintain appropriate, accurate and securely keep recording of assessments, plans and other casework doneKeep up to date with new trends and developments in legislation, policy and practice in the areas of aftercare, accommodation, employment, benefits, and child careAssist in the monitoring and evaluation of the work of the ServiceAttend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary

Essential Requirements

Recent experience working with Young People leaving careAbility to work pro-actively in the attainment of good outcomes for children in care and care leaversAbility to work to targets and timescales under pressure, and form positive working relationship and work co-operatively with other professionals, people in the community and young peopleAbility to work flexible hours where necessaryGood written and verbal communication skillsYou Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UKEnhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
